[edit] Notes
Mesmerising super-8 film by Nagasaki Shunichi in which two characters play games, have rough sex, and deliver monologues to camera, with the plot slowly unfolding to reveal the dark reason behind their shared insanity.
This is not a film for all tastes and the central theme is intensely disturbing.
A very rare masterpiece, and a cult classic.
There is a 2005 film by the same title and director, a follow up story with some of the original 1982 footage. The 2005 version makes a lot more sense after watching the original 1982 film.
