Born in 1960, Isshin Inudo made his debut into the film world in 1998, heading the writing team for director Jun Ichikawa's film, "Osaka Monogatari." In 1999, he made his directorial debut with Across a Gold Prairie. He also wrote the screenplay for the great hit film, Rinne. In 2003, he won the Best New Director Award for Josee, the Tiger and the Fish. He is renowned for capturing the ordinary with his remarkable and prodigious directing style.
